Yep. At age 5, I caught a severe staph infection. Luckily, it was 1990 and not 1790, so I lived to tell the tale.

Hahahaha... Slavery, flat out racism, and classism were realities of 1800. Not to mention complete disrespect for women.

I say it all the time, even with the bullshit we have going on right now, there has been no better time to be a human on planet earth than right now.

I say it all the time, even with the bullshit we have going on right now, there has been no better time to be a human on planet earth than right now.

To be fair, the successors of the grand high assholes of the time seem to be always working tirelessly to bring back the sucky parts with none of the positives.

The Townsends(the 18th century re-enactors/supply shop father and son) got asked the question about would they like to live back then and both said they preferred the living that way on the weekend then returning to modern conveniences.

Part of me thinks post war US 1950-60s was generally pretty nice for most, but certainly not all, people. Average guy could afford house, car and family without needing a 8 year degree.

Don't forget the surplus Solothurn S-18 and stockpiles of 20mm ammunition on the market. Would have also been one of the greatest times to snag a Webley converted to .45 ACP via moon clips.
