Hard to know what to think.

Personally, I think he finally saw he didn't win as big as he thought he would which means the country is still very much towards the center and to bring in such a far left/liberal team to Washington is the surest way to be a 1 term President.

As far as gun rights goes hopefully he see's the massive increase in business in the gun industry in this worsening recession as a huge hint that any form of gun control will be met very similar to the 1996 fiasco (loss of Congress in 2010 and a dumping of him in 2012).

Again, time will see and Politically he is a smart man and wants a 2nd term.

I agree. His posts are not as far leaning as everyone (left and right) thought they would be.

It's all for show. The liberals have always been adept at pulling the wool over peoples eyes. The ultra liberals offer their wild agenda as a ploy to make the liberal office holder look more moderate. Still, the march is ever to the left. The democratic platform of today is as statist as that of the socialist workers party back when I was in college in the late 60's early 70's.

I predict a whole lot of disillusioned democrats when it's all said and done(and a whole lot of pissed off Republicans). Very similar to the situation we have now with W...only on the other foot.

This may not be the place...but the libs tricked themselves into believing that it would be all sunshine, lollypops, and rainbows. This one tickled me...it's not prObama, it's parody... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dmc4yB0kPIg

FWIW, my wife has been reporting this sentiment up on Capitol Hill for weeks. As soon as BHO named Emanuel as his Chief of Staff, the more leftist Dems started to squawk.

anybody who believed all the crap he said in his campaign/debates obviously hasn't been around for many elections....

i'm guessing the 18-24 crowd is a big part of the naive majority.

ah well, the less influence barack has over america the better off we are...

I agree about the 18-24 crowd since I had to deal with them on almost a daily basis. They truly have NO clue about politicians and very much fell for the glitter and attacked you when you offered facts about their 'candidate' and would ask if you were a racist.

It will be a very interesting 4 years sadly.

Every segment of that statement is wrong on some level.

I am just sad, so very sad, and the worst is that we could not even argue that the other guy was all that different. Liberty died 100 years ago now we encased the coffin in concrete.

"Liberals growing nervous about Obama"

As well they should....
Nothing like finding out that the "messiah" lied.
That the "Big O" was really just a faked "o".

And how the heck can a bunch of Clinton era re-treads be considered centrist?

How can a cabinet full of Clinton-era advisors be change?

Obama is all about change.......changing with the polls.

Hopefully they keep him busy enough to keep taxes low and gun laws to a minimum.

Correct me if I am mistaken - but he hasn't taken office yet, yes? How can he "govern" or make any other move that makes the media certain he is abandoning the left?

Sounds like propaganda to me. Lull the sheep back to sleep after the economy scare herded them into the voting booths.

Liberals growing nervous about Obama

Hey, I finally have something in common with liberals! Who would have thunk?

He's named a substantial portion of his cabinet, and most of the names on the list -- while certainly farther to the left than you or I -- are not the world-changing progressives that the leftest of the leftists hoped for.

I honestly don't think he believed he had a chance in hell of winning the nomination, much less the presidency. I think he thought he could get some more exposure nationally, maybe get a spot in the Clinton administration, set himself up for a future run at the White House.

But the media started pushing him, all the Soros cash started flowing, and he's in.

Now he's crapping in his pants.

The amount of cash needed to run for President now is staggering. You don't run unless you want the job. If he was hoping for a place in a Clinton admin. he could have gotten just by stumping VERY hard for her.
