I am building a 300BLK, A1/2 style swamp rifle and the KE lowers look interesting. I reality it may get fired 15-20 rounds a year if at all. Does anyone have any first hand experience with them?

What's a swamp rifle?

Picked mine up from the FFL two days ago… I run my adjustable stock a little shorter, so have to readjust to the A1 length of pull.

What do you not understand? Swamp or rifle. May be you have never been in a swamp. Swamps are places where you are not likely engage game any closer than 30 yards away and more often than not at much closer distances. My idea of a swamp rifle is something simple, compact and fast handling.

Swamp. You're right, I've never been in one. Thanks.

I have seen a few but not used. From all accounts these are good to go. Only poly lower worth buying. Nice and simple and lightweight, which would suit your purpose well. I wouldnt put one on a fighting rifle, but they have their place IMO

Is the black one an ambi receiver? Do either of them have the DMR or SLT trigger in them?

Interesting. Why do you have the front sight set so far back? Are you going to put at light in front of it at the 12 o’clock position?

The Scalerworks sight is optimized for a 15" sight radius. Using the USMC A2 sighting method with the small aperture it works better for a blind man like me. Haven't shot it yet but I tried it all the way out on the bench and it was a no go for me.
