She did a bang up job. Today was nothing more than an introduction, but I think she did very well considering. A half-dozen people came by to offer congratulations to me and words of encouragement to her. She got an early lesson in gun handling when after shooting 50 or so rounds, she stepped aside and asked the old man to show her how it was done. After firing a magazine through the 452, I let her continue shooting. Without any prompting from me, she proceeded to work the bolt with the gun pointed downrange, eye on the target, the rifle never leaving her shoulder. She simply mirrored what she observed.

I'm going to enjoy this.

My daughter started at around 15 and did quite a bit of 2 gun shooting. Unfortunately college is taking up most of her time now, but after she graduates next year hopefully she will get back into it.

Good job OP. It’s a skill every American needs to know. The way things are going, she’ll likely have to depend on her 2A rights. I started my son at 4 and my daughter at 6. They are both very proficient now 10 years later.
