This story uses the phrase "armed stand off". If that's true she should fired two moves earlier. (As soon as she saw his gun)

Perhaps she was trained in confronting drug delivery people on the high seas and expected the same compliance or perhaps her gun wasnt ready to fire?

Not going outside was the wisest option, of course, assuming she was in her house.

Anyone have more details about this murder?

Yes not going outside is the smartest thing she could do.

Yup, if you are gonna confront you gotta be ready to shoot. Like hair trigger ready. Soon as the perp checks the box you gotta be on the trigger.

If you ain't ready for that stay inside, call the popo, and fill out the report when they arrive. The perp may run, shoot, or any of a dozen other options, but they are gonna respond instantly to you. You better be ready.

I feel terrible for the victim here. She had no choice in the initial crime, but she put herself in harm's way and wasn't prepared for it. Take the lessons to heart y'all.

Sad that a good person met her fate dealing with street scum. Again, no disrespect but…

Unfortunately you cannot set not set booby trap that kill anyone. The grand jury exonerated him in the end but probably cost some money for his lawyer.
