I am looking for the current value of a S&W M&P15. It is NIB w/ 1 mag.
It is the following product:

http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=11101&storeId=10001&productId=44930&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=33803&isFirearm=Y

What is the current value of this rifle? Thanks.

I paid $1299.95 for mine, new in box, on Nov. 19. I would suppose they have gone up from there. This past weekend they were selling Colt's for $1800.00 at the gun show in Phoenix. One dealer sold 5 on Friday.

I'll keep an eye on this thread, I have a 15 Tactical, just curious what the value might be. I paid $1256 OTD for mine the Saturday before the elections. :D

I got mine for about a grand otd.. I got lucky and put it in laway 4 months ago. They only thing now is I have a buddie who offered me 1400,00 cash. He did this simply because there are none to be had around here anymore. He gave me till sat to decide. Im torn between 400 bucks profit and a NIB AR. So after Sat I may be out of the AR club for good.. Because I wont give 1400,00 or more for another one. Another plus is I I can sell the mags at the gun show for a nice profit also..

My local gunshop has 3, a M&P15, and two M&P15T's. I purchased one of the 15T's about 6 months ago for $1319, and the other one is still there, and I am assuming it's still the same price. IIRC the base M&P15 was $939.

1057 for a MP15T.

I paid about 1250 for my MP-15x at end of november. Thought I got ripped off-then realized that MSRP was about 100 more. Given this climate I think it was fair (not great, but not bad)

$950 + $50 transfer fee for my MP15T over the summer. Yes you read that right -$950.

Summer was before the run up started so yes, I can believe that you got it for 950.

Last week the M&P rifles at my local shop were under $1000, but that's our LEO price. Looks like they are $1399 for the public.

I've never seen a MP15T for under $1200, even over the summer. You must have some great prices down near you.

the FROOGLE.COM search engine often kicks back some good deals. there was one listed at $930 online ... but it was out of stock.

Out of stock ones dont count! (if) there is no new gun legislation for at least 3 months watch these prices drop like a rock! Think about it: most carbine companies are expecting some ban so there cranking out as many as they can. If theres no legislation passed people will stop buying them and there's going to be a glut. Thats going to be an awesome time to buy (think april - may). Of course if there is any hint of AWB ( even a bill that is introduced in the house), the reaction time will be much faster (now in the age of the net) expect to be paying the prices seen now maybe more. This is exactly like playing the stock market: buying now is based on your guess on the future.

So exciting isn't it?

I bought a MP15OR about four weeks ago for $988 after taxes and fees to ship it to Delaware. I bought it in Maryland because I couldn't find anything close to me in Delaware. Now I have to buy sights and mags. The thing came with one 10 round mag.

$950 back in the summer with the $100 rebate. I think now that they will only go up in price. Those that don't have AR's(that is those that didn't prepare) will be willing to pay a high premium to get one of the good ones.
I'd personally prefer to keep my AR's than have the cash.Never know what the future may hold.

I didn't really care paying what I did. The last and only time I had shot a rifle was in 1967. Seriously. I got caught up in the Obama frenzy, and have bought 2 AR's,
2 semiauto .40 Smiths, and a couple of snub noses since the beginning of November. Like somebody said, shooting these is the most fun you can have
with your clothes still on! I am having a blast.

High888- I agree with you. I too got caught up in the O-frenzy, but IMO if your paying at or below the MSRP I think its a fair deal, in the current climate. In the end, 150-200 dollars wont seem like much, given you are shooting and enjoying something that they cant make anymore.

I would say current value is some where around $1300.

The value also depends on which model we're talking about. A basic M&P and a Tactical model will be a few hundred dollars apart in price.

Just my $0.02

Paid $600 also for a M&P 40SW 3 weeks ago.

Too much probably but I'm not worried about finding an AR now.

Paid 1195 for my M&P-15A last weekend in Baton Rouge.
In April 08 I paid $870 (before sales tax) for a 15A and then got a $100 rebate from S&W.

BTW, 15Ts, at that time, ran about $300 more, somewhere between $1,150 and $1,200.

I seen the optics ready platform 2 weeks ago for $899 at the local Gander Mtn.

I hate to say this but I *think* that we are passing "peak pricing" for AR's. 2 of my buddies who were on waiting lists just got notified that their rifles are shipping and I am beginning to see one or two AR's on shelves at outlet stores (like Gander) instead of bare shelves.

I know my observation is a local one but thats my feeling.

I Recently saw a KISS M&P15 for $995.00 at a gunshow and nearly shit myself when it was still on the table 2 hours later, while everyone else was buying DPMS's and Bushys. I am 99% sure it was new, but i may be wrong.

I feel like I got my cheeks parted... I paid ~$1600 for my T model a few weeks before the election. The local gun show was selling the same ones for ~$1700-1800.
