i'm looking for an affordable pistol to accompany my bug out bag i keep in the car. thinking something easy to find ammo for, reliable, balance between small game killing and self defense. think along lines of something to use between having to abandon the car and get back to my main supplies/firearms.

i was thinking maybe a .22 revolver...

considering something like a Taurus 94.

input welcome, thanks gents!

nice piece... i'd prefer something a bit longer barreled. it would be locked up in rear of vehicle most times.

I purchase a Glock G31 for each vehicle I own (three). These are the only glocks I own and I rarely take them out to carry them, as I prefer to shoot and carry my 229R. I find them ideally suited to use as a gun left in a vehicle for long periods of time. I can pick them up for $400 NIB from GT's making them the best solution for me in regards to cost/benefit.

My Glock 23 is also great.

I would'nt keep a loaded weapon that literally was not bolted down in my car. Lots of BG's shop cars for guns. I would'nt want to face my own gun. If I had to pick it would be what I carry a G19 with plenty of mags.

it would be unloaded, secured to the body of the car, in a non descript location.
