This looks good, I'll probably go see it when it comes out. Maybe we'll see more independent films outdo the regular Hollywood dregs.

The reluctant bad-ass with a past… so American.

Predictable, but interesting.

I like it...no "pretty people" involved. Saw one problem in the trailer. Main character is holding a Winchester 94 in profile- it's an Angle Eject model....

Timothy Blake Nelson... While the trailer looked good enough for me to enjoy when It comes out, everytime I saw his face or heard his voice all I heard or saw was Delmar from "O brother where art though"

That is hard to over look...

I thought one of the bad guys was from 'Ozark', but it is Stephen Doff, seeming to try to play the old guy (ACTOR Petter Mullan) from OZARK...

Honestly, I like that casting. It's not the normal -Tom Selleck, Sam Elliott, Kevin Costner thing. Have you ever looked at any old black and white photos from the old west....Lots of little, unattractive people........It was a rough ass thing to tame a frontier.

Something I picked up on- the main character says his name is Henry McCarty. If you know your history this makes this movie a little more interesting and the role a good fit for Tim Blake Nelson.

LOL, indeed but Ballad of Buster Scruggs is a little more "on topic".

I finally got to see Old Henry. It never hit any theaters around here so after a while I forgot about it. The other day I was in Wally World and saw it sitting on the shelf so I bought it. The movie was not your typical Hollywood western- there were for the most part no endearing characters and the line between good guys and bad guys was blurred. It starts out slow but then moves very fast and has a surprise ending. I’d recommend it.

Agreed, I saw it awhile ago. Not a usual Western, interesting twists.
