Remington 870 factory magazine extension

Does Remington make a factory magazine extension that come even with the 20-inch barrel?

Seems that is what the Marines have been using in the past.

If Remington doesn't have one, who's got the best magazine extension out there that would come even to the muzzle of the 20-inch barreled 870?

Kinda like this.

That extension is still made by Remington, but the bayonet lug adaptors are not... Here is a current production 870 max with the same extension...

I have one on my 20" 870P, just like the second photo. I'm thinking of removing it and going with the 18" barrel and a +1 extension.

an 18 inch gives you a +2... the 20 gives you +3...

Not to hijack the thread, but what kind of stock/pistol grip is that?

I recently upgraded my 28" to a 10 round mag extension. It's a little odd, but mainly for 3Gun and I don't want to spend more money on a shorter barrel. Besides, having 9 in the rifle will allow me to shoot, instead of reloading on the move. ;)

Vang Comp makes excellent +1 & 2 Magazine extensions for the Remington 870.

That would be the Speedfeed stock. It comes in two lengths and with or without extra shell holders.

You are correct... I like personaly like the youth length without the internal magazine, but YMMV...

I found the Speedfeed on Brownells but it doesn't state its the short one. Any idea where I can get a short one w/out the shell holders?

I recently bought a Choate +3 from MidwayUSA.com for around $45 with spring and orange follower. It comes exactly to the end of my 20" 870 barrel.
