is it just me, or is the trigger pull on a .45 ACP M&P a little stiffer at the back end than its 9mm brother? granted, i've got more rounds through my 9 but the .45 is noticeably different to me.

It typically is a little stiffer, and for some reason even worse on the manual safety models. But it can be tweaked by a gunsmiff ;) just the same.

The .45 needs a heavier striker spring because the SAAMI indent standard for large pistol primer cartridges (e.g., 45 Auto) is two thousandths deeper than the small pistol primer (e.g., 9mm & 40 S&W) standard.

I did not know that. But I'm not surprised Todd did. The M&P .45 triggers are much better than they were initially.
