Finally got the finish coat up in 1 room. Might actually be getting the hang of it. It’s crazy how much work 3 coat lime plaster is. (Didn’t really finish the top 6” as a perimeter drop ceiling/tray ceiling will hide it

What did you use to mix it all and what was your final ingredient break down.

What did you use to mix it all and what was your final ingredient break down.

Scratch and brown coat were 1 part lime putty to 2 part mason sand. Hemp fiber for reinforcement. Finish/white coat is 1 part lime putty to 1 part fine (and sifted) white sand.

I used a harbor freight paint/mortar mixer and a dewalt drill with eggbeater for white coat.
