I used to live in Mass. and it appears that GOAL (http://www.goal.org/MGLR/ReasonforReform.htm) (Gun Owners Action League) is going to attempt one hell of an overhaul of one of this nations most restrictive states gun laws. We are not talking about repealing laws and such, but a complete and total rewriting of the firearms laws.
One aspect of the bill would eliminate the state's AWB and turn it into something that is a lot closer to a shall issue than "i'll issue you if I like the color of your shirt" type. It clearifies a lot of others as well.
It is an uphill battle of enormous proportions, but for those who live in the state wish to find out more on how to help, and for those out of state who wish to help as well.
A lot of peoples answer is usually 'move to a free state', in this worsening economy its becoming less and less of an option.
