QD Mount for ACE stock?

New member here, first post.

I built my first AR-15 about 6 months ago, was my first rifle beyond a .22 lr actually.

I have long arms which makes it very uncomfortable to use adjustable stocks so I decided to go with the ACE AR-FX stock.

Im at the point now where Id like a sling that isn't a leather shooting sling, and Im looking for a mount that I can use for QD. What I've been considering doing is finding one that clamps down onto the buffer tube (like this http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Tango-Down-PR-4-Rear-Sling-Mount-p/tango%20down%20pr-4.htm) but put it at the rear of the buffer tube and use a heat wire to properly/cleanly trim the foam pad.

Im not fond of ace's offerings as far as sling mounts go.

That particular sling mount won't work. You need the type that adds a loop up at the lower receiver that's made for a rifle stock.

I was trying to avoid using the hook type of attachment and was trying to use QD. Thanks though!
