For 10MM I'm looking for a good plinking load and a good defensive load.

Removing DoubleTap, Buffalo Bore, Glaser, MagSafe, Georgia Arms, Master Cartridge and Cor-Bon from the options, and choosing from Winchester, Hornady, Federal, American Eagle, PMC or CCI.



5.56MM/.223:
For 5.56MM/.223 I'm looking for a good plinking load, a good defensive load (that won't over-penetrate, i.e. inside home) and a good penetrating load (if ever needed).

Removing DoubleTap, Cor-Bon, Wolf, Brown Bear, Prvi. Partizan and choosing from Winchester, Hornady, Federal, American Eagle,

For a defensive load that would be used indoors with the consideration of not over-penetrating through walls, etc., do I want...

1. A lighter bullet (i.e. 40gr) at a higher velocity?

or

2. A heavier bullet (i.e. 62gr or 75gr) at a slower velocity?
