Piedmont Triad - The Good, the Bad, the Things to Do

People that live or have lived there, what do you like about the area? What should I look out for?

UPS, Toyota, and a couple other major hitters are sitting up shop in the triad. I'm certain housing value is skyrocketing there like here in the triangle.

My sister-in-law and her family lived in Madison for a while (now in Hickory), they really liked it. I went to nursing school at UNC-G but didn't spend enough time to get a feel for the flavor. It's a bit "too west" for me. All of that said, my friends who live in the triad love it.
