AR-15 bolt hold open

Hello all I am about to buy my first AR-15 and even though I have shot them in the past I cannot recall does the AR have a bolt stop which holds the bolt open after the final shot is fired I know that there is the manual bolt hold open but what about after the last shot is fired or does it just depend on the type/brand of magazine your using

The AR is designed to hold the bolt open when the magazine is empty.

the bolt release toggle can also manually hold the bolt open, without requiring that a magazine be in the firearm.
