Jared is the dem gov of Colorado. Made a small (10s of millions?) in some electronics or something. He tries to say that he has some Libertarian viewpoints, but he drops those at the slightest hint political pressure.
So he plays the pro-business, small-gov, purple state moderate, but he caves to the left as soon as it is politically expedient.
I’ll post more later, but you may have heard about the trucker who got 110 years. Polis, in under a month since the trial, dropped it to 10 years, parole in 5. This asshole trucker came down the mountain, avoided using the safety ramp stops, and plowed into dozens of cars, burned 4 people alive that were trapped. Two others were seriously injured. Maybe 110 years is too long but:
-The driver didn’t call 911, he called his company on the way dow
-Passed at least two safety ramps.
-Could have dumped it into the median or a bridge at anytime
The driver also declined to take a deal that was offered. It isn’t known now what that deal was. Probably more than 10 years. So teh driver rolls the dice and goes to trial- knowing the possible outcome- and loses.
Social media and the Latinx press goes nuts. Gov Polis, wanting to shore up his social warrior creds, with little time or investigation, cuts the sentence by 90%. There wasn’t enough time for him to talk to all the victims.
Watch out for this guy. He caved on some truly horrible gun laws so that he wouldn’t have to deal with it during an election. He is the worst kind of politician. Highly skilled at lying to you and then F’ing you, and telling you how sorry he was about it.

Well, now that I mentioned it about half this country's population has their head up their ass, and add in a little cheating like a mofo in crucial states......disregard my first sentence. :jester:
87% of those who consider themselves "libertarians" are really socialists who just want legal weed.
Even the libertarian party is about 30/40% in conflict with the actual constitution. It's like how the ACLU is about civil liberties unless we are talking about guns, true equality or religious freedoms.
Libertarian just sounds more political acceptable to people who aren't willing to do basic research on candidates who are actual hard socialists / soft communists.
It's basically the same as pedophiles calling themselves "age neutral" rather than child rapers because it sounds like something that is almost acceptable until you figure out what they mean.

Hadn’t heard that one. I really haven’t focused on him as much as his positions and laws passed. Between Polis and Hickenlooper, we’ve had some real douche bags as gov. Opportunists that rode the purple wave here.

A native Coloradian that refers to himself as a southern democrat told me that. I did a quick Google and didn't find it but seems like the type of thing that would be suppressed. I don't always agree with the guy that told me that but I'd be surprised if he'd lie, especially about his own party.
Even if he does, with modern treatments it ain't the death sentence it used to be. I doubt it though, seems like he'd play it for whatever it was worth.

Maybe HIV. AIDS comes from untreated HIV, it’s the end stage before they die. With contemporary treatment options. HIV positive people live essentially completely normal lives, don’t look any different from anyone else. You’ve probably met some and didn’t know it.

If I recall, obuma made it where Mexican drivers can cross the border and make deliveries in the USA. It was around 2010 if I remember correctly.
If true he wouldn't need a US issued CDL.

Cuban by birth, assume he had US CDL, but I don't know from where; I assume CO.
His lawyers asked for 20 years from the trial judge, who had to turn them down because of mandatory minimums. Polis gives him 10 years. Unbelievable.
Here's hoping that one of the victims family members stays in the fight and makes Polis pay for this politically the rest of his career.
