View Full Version : US Optics bubble level

I contacted US Optics with a service request because my Rifle bubble level went dry. Clearly faulty. And it was within the "One Year" warranty, so I was told. I couldn't believe only a one year warranty. I sent them proof etc but I'm so disappointed I want to look at other options.

What do you use for your AR's or long guns to keep rifle level for long range shooting? Any good ones other than US Optics.

I've used these with reasonable results...

thanks RM, I just ordered one. A bubble is a bubble to a certain extent.

if your rifle is canted right it will throw the bullet right at longer distances. Inside 500 not too much, at 1,000
plus yep

sure but in all fairness, who doesn't have a tight lock up on the mount nor checks before heading out? Just seems like added accessory for no real value. I honestly can't envision a scenario where it adds value. Not being a dik, I'm genuinely trying to validate one in my head but just not seeing it.

It’s not an issue of your scope being off in the mount, it’s so you don’t physically cant your rifle to the right or left. That will definitely have your impact off at extended ranges.

gotcha, so simple and yet escaped me. got it thanks. I know locking the bipod swivel doesn't 100% alleviate this as it can come loose etc.

thanks gents

I know I'll get a hard time for this comment, but the Sig Tango6 5-30x has a built in digital level. It has illuminated arrows on either side of the reticle.
It is only an example of 1, but mine tracks dead on and has great glass.

I use a level on the scope and a level on the rail to ensure they are lined up as the table or surface I'm working on (aka entire house) usually not level. Cheap HD/Lowes small construction levels work fine in a pinch, rail/scope mounted just a better solution.

Just mounted a scope last week to my CZ At-One and it's less than a 5 minute affair to line everything up and snug up. Another 5 to doublecheck eye relief, adjust and torque to final specs. Before the level trick (someone smarter told me about it) I would mess around mounting a scope forever and it would never be right once I got to the range.

Bingo, pretty much run this instead of a BUIS on all my LPVO guns.

Yes. A canted rifle will miss low and in the direction of the cant. None of our surfaces or targets/hills are flat ground level.

Some military sniper schools intentionally cant their targets so students HAVE TO confirm level.

Ive had luck with the Accuracy 1st levels.

I also have a USO level which still seems to be fine 10 years later.

the ground we shoot off is never level
and our targets are sitting on hills. nothing level until we make it level.

I'll just throw this out as another option. I'm not saying it's better or worse than any of the others.

Midway has the Tactical AR Tru Level from Precision Hardcore Gear (which I think used to be called Xtreme Hardcore Gear). Silly name, but some people may prefer this design. It looks like more of a minimalist low profile design compared to some of the others posted here. Reviews are very mixed, but mostly positive, and it's also only $40 right now.

I really like the looks/design of the rail mounted KAC level and to some extent the Midway version.

Is there an "ease of use" difference between the "inline" rail mount, "offset" rail mount" or scope mounted levels?

KAC's rail mounted level looks pretty well protected, but then again I have not read a lot of tales of people breaking the scope mounted levels.

I have several MK Machining levels and they have done their job through rough use and dropa in the elk woods.
