Blade of the Immortal (Review)

Is a movie based on the Japanese manga series that follows the cursed samurai Manji, who has to kill 1,000 evil men in order to regain his mortality. It's a classic and worth watching. Per usual, the attempt to make the transition from anime to movie is a failure. This movie does a commendable job of following the story line of the series, but just can't capture what made the anime series unique. If you just wanna see sword fights and bodyparts flying and some fun visuals, it's fine. If you want to see the true Blade of the Immortal, watch the anime series. B-/C+
