The following is a report on a lubricant/preservative developed during Vietnam and intended primarily for SEAL teams. I don't know if it was actually ever used operationally, or if it went away when the war ended. The chemistry is a bit outside my lane, but it seems to have been at least partially effective. Anyone familiar?

I'm guessing not. Or at least not one that lasted on the market for very long.
