How much louder is the 357 SIG compared to the other "big 3" semi-auto defense cartridges? I'm looking for a scientific measurement, not annecdotal evidence. Thanks.

TIGTA did some pretty extensive and scientific measurements of their 357's a couple years back. Let me see if I can scare up the data.

Anecdotal, but using a timer we got two or three echos from 357 Sig, while 9mm and 45ACP don't register any extra echoes.
