The people I work with are largely split between either being very pro gun or are unable to fathom why someone would enjoy shooting as a hobby/spend time and money for training. Additionally they are typically of the opinion that training to protect themselves and those they love is largely unwarranted because "that won't happen to me..." One of my coworkers who I am good friends with recently got a wake up call.

Fortunately no one was hurt and the only loss was monetary but now my friend is starting to rethink his former opinions and asked about getting a gun. I look forward to introducing him to firearm safety and becoming a responsible gun owner.
