For just $12,297, you too can own a piece of European history built ritchere in America.

They where $3k + on Primary Arms Website for a 14.3" version, looked great, but not over $3k great. PA appears to have sold out but I can find them here

The New Zealand reference rifle was more intriguing to me, but given the rarity and price I’m not a buyer for any of them.

Stupid post. You can find them for 2600$ or even lower. Don’t give up your job to become a comedian. You will go broke

Not yet, but I might. Appears to be a very nice rifle from a great company.

My buddy John at V1 Tactical has 7 of them.

Despite humor apparently some find direly offensive, I like LMT stuff. V1 is really the only place I go for it anymore unless LMT themselves have a unique item in stock/for Black Friday.

The coolest thing about they Estonian rifle is the shot counter they designed for the grip.

I decided that I liked different features from each of the world's best infantry rifles, and here's what I built. It's basically the Estonian rifle with a New Zealand Air Force 14.5" DI carbine barrel with bayonet lug (and custom fluting). It's so light and handy, pretty much my favorite rifle.

Please tell us more about this 14.5 barrel/upper, masakari...

Side note: We are 13 months away from KRL’s patent expiration...

I got lucky and scored this barrel and then had it fluted.

The NZ rifle uses a 16" midlength barrel with bayonet lug, but the NZ Air Force chose 14.5" carbine with bayonet lug. I put that barrel in an MLC upper and settled on the SLK stock, making it kind of Estonianish.

What's the KRL patent?

Very cool. The LMT barrels all seem “bruiser” heavy, so I find that very interesting.

Karl Lewis’ holding company owns the patent for the monolithic upper. No one else makes one in the US…and Colt Canada, as I recall, consorts with LMT for theirs. Also, I looked it up, and it appears they gave him an extension to 2026, which stinks. We need more monolithic options.

Ah, yeah I agree, it does suck that LMT basically killed Colts 6940; I loved that rifle.

My LGS has one for just over $3k, I can't go there for that. And I do love me some LMT.

I've been lusting after one for several months. Haven't seen any for $2,600, but I can get you pretty damn close - https://www.gunbroker.com/item/930138575.

This is the best price I've seen in several months. Dealer seems to have a pretty good supply as he's been selling rifles and uppers for several weeks.

I see Charlie's Custom Clones has reduced their Estonian rifles to 3K, they will eventually be available for $2,500
as inflation nibbles away at the AR market, seems counterintuitive but I believe it will play out that way .

Swear to God that gas block w/bayonet lug looks a lot like the SIG 516 at a quick glance. If LMT has the same piston system it has had for quite a while now then the similarities are in looks only.

Different gas block. Same idea though. I have both. Bayonet lugs are a little different as well. 516 is a great weapon in its own right

Yeah I have one that has the "mil-spec" chrome lined, 14.5" upper on it and the SIG lower (I sold the original 516 nitrided upper off because I wanted the lower to be SIG also).

That’s funny. I did the same thing

Colt makes a monolithic rail. They pay royalties to LMT but they do make one. 6940,43, 44 and 6945

6940 isn’t dead. Colt still makes them.

I mean killed the development. They planned longer rails, modular rails, etc, but didn't want to pay royalties.

My local just got one in according to their monthly spreadsheet, $1550, I of course just ordered a new Geissele upper and am disciplined enough not to throw it on the CC, but I really want to
