Severe drought conditions have caused water levels to drop revealing long lost secrets
Mans body found inside steel barrel. Victim of a homicide
Barrel at one time was in 100’ deep water
How many more barrels will be found?

“We’re going to expand our time frame of the murder to the middle to late 1970s to early 80s,” he said Tuesday morning, citing the clothes and shoes the man was wearing.
Spencer said officers discovered the shoes the man was wearing were sold at Kmart and manufactured in the middle and late 1970s.“

Isn’t there a B-29 on the bottom somewhere?

Yes, a B-29 was ditched into the lake back in 1948

“At 9:51 a.m. July 21, 1948, a B-29 Superfortress, weighing in at 104,556 pounds, took off from China Lake, California. It traveled to a test area near Lake Mead to conduct high-altitude atmospheric research. After the last measurements were taken, the pilot took the plane a little lower. Both the pilot and co-pilot thought they were around 400 feet above the lake’s surface, but the altimeter was reportedly off. Around 12:30 p.m. traveling at 230 miles per hour, the B-29 struck the water and sank to the bottom of Lake Mead where it still lies today.“

Lol...the pilot forgot to adjust the altimeter for the current barometric pressure that day....oopsy.

But at 12:30 in the afternoon couldn't you SEE that you were about to hit the water?

I think it was at night. They were doing secret squirrel work ELINT type work IIRC from the article I read in the Vegas magazine.

Light, moisture in the air over water can do weird things. Heading off shore (Heading East) one morning just before sunrise... You can see the glow on the horizon just before the sun pops up.. For about 3-5 seconds everything ahead of us turned white.. No water, no sky and no horizon. It wasn't a big deal at 25 knots in a boat but at 200 knots close to the water in a plane being disoriented for 3-5 seconds may be a problem!

I’d bet @OH58D would have insight on how one crashes into water in low altitude level flight at noon.

Another one. More remains found

“Human remains were found in the Lake Mead Recreation Area on Saturday, officials said.
National Park Service rangers responded to a report from a witness at 2 p.m. about human skeletal remains found at Callville Bay, according to a National Park Service press release.
The discovery came less than a week after the remains of a man were found in a barrel at Lake Mead near Hemenway Harbor on May 1.“
