At 9.5 pounds before adding the optic and with a monolithic lower, what niche is this designed to fill?

This is one of those "they really didn't know when to quit" kinda moments.

SA makes some great 1911's and I love them, but AR's lets leave them to BCM, LMT, Geissele etc. I wouldn't buy that shit AR regardless of price. And I know everyone wants to be in the market so they will make shit. And there are so many people that buy guns and rarely shoot them, and they profess "what a great AR, 200 flawless rounds "

Is that supposed to be a heavy profile barrel?

The niche of separating suckers from their money.

It's a rebranded and slightly updated Drake Associates Athena. The monolithic lower allows for better free floating, so that loading a bipod won't cause a POA/POI shift.
