Mine is a 5 year old 6920. Colt and horse roll marks, "M4 Carbine" marked.

Are these worth any more than the new ones?

The fact a SP-1 goes for as much as three grand says to me the good guns built for those few years side by side with the mil contract guns will be worth something.

But that’s probably in like 20 years and maybe in 20 years you won’t be able to transfer a semi auto gun? Making it worth nothing? Or priceless to the owner…

I think guns as investments are super sketchy these days. Especially black rifles. If it’s one of the good colts consider yourself lucky and keep it.

I bought a 6920 last week and I was surprised it only says Carbine.

Why would they do that lol

That means it has the much coveted mil spec grip screw, hold onto it.

True, but lets be honest, that isn't exactly the generic SP1 we are talking about.

So as I understand it, Colt Defense went Chapter 11 and Colt restructured in 2016. So once they run out of Colt Defense marked lowers, they will presumably be marked something else like "Colt Manufacturing" and it will eventually become collectible.

Pretty much the same concept here as Burger King cutting back on the number of pickle slices on their hamburgers.

Saving a single penny because you went from 4 to 3 slices of pickles on each hamburger does not sound like much but...

Sell a million hamburgers each year and the savings adds up to a LOT.

Have the new Colt CZ's carbines or rifle been released for sale yet?
I've yet to see one at my local gun shop.

I need to know what grip screw is included with my new "Carbine" marked CR6920 before I can put it through the paces though

Analysts with the Lance Corporal Underground indicate that the grip screw is made of some type of metal. Just kidding; those dudes were all out skating somewhere.

The last grip screws I bought were stainless Phillips head screws I got from Ace Hardware. Are my guns going to explode if I use them?

That means it has the much coveted mil spec grip screw, hold onto it.

Better idea: pull the OEM grip screw, sell it on gunbroker, replace with generic one.
