Good question I'd like to know as well. Who makes their barrels?

Ditto, they have a pretty good deal on uppers.

I have had an order for an upper with DSA but canceled it today, the wait wasn't the problem but the constant dates for shipping that never happen finally worn thin today.

I put an upper on my first build. It seems decent quality. It is 1/9 and is nitrided instead of chrome lined. I'm curious how more experienced people might review it.

For starters a 1/9 twist isn't a good choice. They seem to be vague with other details. Wouldn't buy one with all the other good choices out there such as a Colt 6920, BCM, Noveske, etc. See the Chart. DSA makes a good FAL but isn't known for their AR's.

I admit, I've been tempted to buy one of their $180 complete lowers and one of their "sale" uppers to use as a trunk gun, but the lack of info. out there on them is holding me back. For $600, I can get a CMMG bargain bin gun; with that, at least I have an idea what I'm getting.

I probably wouldn't buy there BCG, even if I buy one of their uppers. The staking looks almost non-existent and they don't mention anything about MPI, etc.

Sundance- CMMG? Why buy a POS with such good deals on quality rifles right now?

Fair enough. The DS Arms AR becomes an even less attractive deal when you figure in a charging handle and BCG.

Sundance- Great attitude. Best of luck to you and make sure to look for the best deals going. Really great prices out there on quality guns right now. If not enough dough for a Colt, BCM, DD, LMT, then save up. Buy once, cry once. Hope it works out. Can never go wrong with a 6920.

The last info that I saw available, showed their lowers were LMT. So the complete lower should be a safe bet. I have a couple DSA Fal's and they are exceptional, but know nothing about their AR uppers.

i've got a couple of the uppers, with 200-400 rnds through them, dead reliable. they also have an excellent rep on TOS for reliability. i had some D.D. , s&w, ar-15 bcg sitting around from installing bcm/fa, as well as spare c/h, so $292 shipped to put on spare lowers was a good deal for me. i think they are just fine to run to the range, and plink away with. i keep one under the rear seat of my Z-71,, if stolen,, better than a BCM or colt.

according to the DSA rep,, T/C makes these barrels for them,,,should be approx. the same upper as a S&W,,yes???

Bought one in Sept. Got it in Nov. Very happy for $275, nitrated upper. But 50 round through it functioned fine. It also zeroed well at 100 yards.
