From the Miami Herald,

A woman with a female partner fakes being stranded and kills a Florida college student who stopped to help. Damn, let's be careful out there.

Happened to a co-worker. He said his spidey senses went off as he was looking under the hood and that saved him from getting clocked. He’s a tall guy, but not a big guy. Main highway in town. I hate people that take advantage of of our better angels and social norms. That was over a decade ago. I’d say that the people likely to pull over to help and people CCWing are correlated to a good extent….

Its a sad story, and it is worth reading the linked article.

Woman flags down a couple in Talladega National Forest and asks for help starting her car. She produces a pistol and forces them into the woods where the man produces a pistol. A firefight ensues. She calls to her accomplice and dies, he sadly dies in his fiance's arms. Her accomplice flees but is located by police nearby. As they take her into custody, the accomplice's 5 y/o son approaches with a shotgun, which he puts on the ground near her mother.
