In need of a carry handle for a F marked upper of mine and this one came up for sale. Does anyone know who made it and what would be a good price on it?

The keyhole forge mark is from Cerro Forge and should be good to go. Not sure what the 8 forge mark is though.

It does look to be mil-spec height, you can kinda of tell from where the bottom of the rear sight meets the corner of the forging. But the only way to be sure is to measure the forging from the bottom to the top where the bottom of rear sight meets the top of the forging. Mil-spec should be around 21mm.

Wow. $99 for a rough carry handle? These will trade at over $200 in a few years.. and maybe way higher down the road.

I can get it for $55 due to store credit but yea they have them listed at $99.

I’m probably going to paint it and see if I can get it to match my upper’s black finish

I think you were missing the point of it not being worth $99. If you have $40 worth of credit, you should be offering them $65, and agreeing at $75, then using your store credit for an end price of $35.


On the subject of paint, why paint it? You won't make it look OEM with spray paint, and if you don't carry that it matches, why paint it at all? Just curious and wondering.

Call me crazy but its a small mom and pop FFL I've been dealing with for years now. They are more friends than anything. I'm not going to beat them up and would rather them make a profit honestly.

The build is new and this will look out of place. I'm easy on my firearms so it will never get the weathered look some do.
