12 or 13.2

I am looking at ordering a 16" barrelled upper and trying to decide between a Larue 12 or 13.2 handguard. I am leaning towards the 13.2 but wanted to know if anyone can think of any negatives?

From what I can determine the 13.2 is 1.2 oz heavier. I know the rail space will not be used but my thought is that the weight is not significant enough to matter, so why not? Thoughts?
