Smith Vortex Breaks Tines

I have heard this in reguards to the older (A1) units, but has anyone heard of or know of there being a problem with the current G6A2's? I am planning on putting one on my rifle, but will opt for another design if it is still an issue.

I'm sure if you drop your weapon hard enough they will break or bend. I doubt any amount of shooting will cause them to just break.
Vortex FH is great, with proper muzzle awareness, it should outlast the barrel.
