View Full Version : Magpul MBUS 3 front sight adjustment question?
Tight is good…! However, will the front sight adjustment knob loosen up a bit? I’m trying to loosen them up a bit before I go sight them in. I don’t want my hands spending too much time at the “Business end” of an AR fiddling with the front sight.
Any of you have any experiences with them yet, any ideas? Thanks guys.
Their “Pro’s” adjustment is tight as Hell too.
Since I run RD’s I dial in RD and slave BUIS to Dot, verify Zero at range. It’s a “set it, forget it” procedure for me, so I’m not concerned with the difficulty in adjustment.

Unless you’re adjusting the front sight with a loaded and chambered rifle, I wouldn’t worry too much about the “business end”.
Thanks guys. I worked the front sight before my range trip and made 3 additional adjustments at the range. The Adjustments we’re made after the magazine was emptied and with an open chamber, safety first.
For those that care to know they do get easier to adjust after you play with them for a bit.
I've got a few Pro (and LR) sets, but I've never heard of an MBUS 3 before.
Using an A2-adjustment tool never gave me any trouble, but this is certainly "easier" to adjust.

They just started shipping so they’re pretty new.

Yup, I just bought them. I guess they are replacing the original Magpul MBUS sights. They are a bit smaller all the way around.
