I really struggled with eye relief and being to low with a regular sopped stock. I heard about these bad boys here from Gaijin and others, thought I would give one a try. Have not shot it yet, but I really like peeking through it.

Looks awesome. Please keep us informed, I eyeballed that stock pretty hard a couple days ago.

They make 3 different sizes, one that says AR, then a medium and a large. FYI I bought the AR version.

Cool, I'm thinking of replacing my Magpul PRS with one of these units.

Its nice as it pops on an off different receivers super quick, just like a old school stock. There is something nice to being able to try it out on a bunch of weapons, or loan it to a different shooter.

This is different than I thought. I thought I saw a more skeletonized version floating around the internuts.

It's nor bulky or heavy. Not sure the weight but it is just fine, weighs less than a PRS. And like Molon said, its a 60 second swop and that aint happening with a PRS stock. Pretty cool and I think I bought mine for Black Friday $150ish.

I think my picture makes it look bigger than it is, fyi.

20 ounces. The SOPMOD is around 11 ounces.

I was comparing to the PRS stock without weighing each one. I just know these are lighter and more versatile vs the PRS stocks that I love on my AR10's. But I honestly dont mind a little weight on the back because my guns tend to be front heavy due to mucho suppressors usage.

I’ve been somewhat interested in these, but wasn’t able to find one for under $250. I snagged another PRS for $170 with minimal effort.

I don’t mind the extra weight, and my precision lowers keep the same stocks for years, so the ease of changing them don’t appeal to me

I was comparing weights of my other stocks to this B5 Adjustable and Reptilia's new stock, here's what their web sites publish...

B5 Adjustable - 20.65oz
Reptilia AR15 RECC·E - 12.0oz
B5 SOPMOD - 11.8oz
Magpul MOE SL - 9.6oz
B5 Bravo - 9.3oz
Magpul CTR - 8.8oz
BCM SOPMOD - 8.6oz
BCM Mod 0 - 7.5oz

You missed a staller deal this past BF/SM weekend from PA, I want to say $159 but might be off a few bucks.

I agree. Had I seen it. I would have bought one to try out.

If I had more BF cash I would have done it too, but needed/wanted other stuff.

For a long range gun like this, the more weight the better. Even in 5.56 it makes spotting your own shots a little easier.

Its actually smaller than I thought, when I stop being lazy I'll shoot a pic of the B5 adjustable next to the PRS.

I’ve been eying one of these stocks for a while. I think it would be an excellent choice for an SPR/DMR type rifle, paired with a Law folding adapter.

I got to say thanks for pointing out the PA sale. I didn't even know these were a thing and find out via a sale!
So far I'm liking it, but I'll shoot it next week. I found the PRS too long when I tried it on my 22 LSS chassis, this is a much better fit.
Plus it's easy to switch to AR's when testing loads.

Stick, do you get an early prototype? If you look at our pictures, your cheek riser looks like it has one more layer under the riser. Might be an illusion. Of course your pic is 10X’s better than mine. Do you know if your is AR size, med or large?

Let us know your thoughts.

Yea I got mine from PA weekend sale. Just got lucky. Based on others responses, it wouldn’t suck to have a spare to pop on other AR’s if I’m too lazy or don’t have my g gun with me.

Titsonritz, solid post, thanks for the info. LMT SOPMOD WEIGHS 12.5 oz. One of my favs.

That's pretty badass. Now I need another LAW folder and one of these stocks. It never stops. :help:

That's probably a bad ass gun, but not once have I ever longed for a folding stock on any gun.

For most AR builds I would agree, but I can see this feature being useful on this particular weapon, because it’s freakin huge. This would definitely aid in storing and transporting.

@titsinritz I understand completely. I blew my budget last week with all the Black Friday deals. There’s always something else to buy with this hobby.

Yeah, man. I saw weights come up and ran across my "sticky pad" from the other night so I posted them up.

I'm surprised there is such a spread between the B5 SOPMOD and the LMT SOPMOD. I took the B5 number off their web site, my SOPMOD is also an LMT (I'll have to weight it).

Yeah! So fits great in a foam cut out hit man discreet case!

Shot my gun with this stock and its next level nice IMHO. I really think many SPR type rifles would find this stock very helpful. I did.

This stock is way more subdued in person. The pics make it look a little "much", but the gun was sitting on the table, and I didn't even notice it.

Is it just me or does B5 have an answer for every piece of LMT furniture? Of course, there are the SOPMOD and Bravo stocks, then this one seems like a direct competitor to the LMT DMR stock (https://lmtdefense.com/product/5-56-dmr-buttstock/):

69318

LMT sells two versions; one flush with carbine length extensions and one for AR10/A5 extensions (https://lmtdefense.com/product/308-dmr-buttstock/). The shorter stock will lock up to the longer extensions but leave a gap. B5 sells three lengths of their precision stock; short (https://b5systems.com/precision-stock-ar10/), medium (https://b5systems.com/precision-stock-ar15/) and long (https://b5systems.com/precision-stock-long/). Not sure if that's just length of pull or if one of them fully seats on AR10/A5 extension.

Considering the price of the LMT stock, the B5 seems like a great value. Does anyone have experience comparing the two?

Not Stick, but the piece you're referring to in his picture is actually an added piece that B5 sells. Appropriately called the "Cheekpiece" and sold for $20 for an additional 3/8" rise and some horizontal adjustment. Comes in 2 colors.

Read about it here: https://b5systems.com/cheekpiece/

Any updates on these? I’ve got an SPR-ish build thats slowly coming together.

I, too am a bit confused about the three sizes. I know the SR-25 has a shorter cheekpeice to work with the longer charging handle.

Edit, I looked a little closer at the pics on the website. On the long version, it looks like the cheekpeice is slid forward a bit vs the medium. They say its optimized for side folders and side chargers. So, its a charging handle clearance and LOP thing, and medium is what most of us would need with conventional 5.56 setups.

Hmm, looking at the URL address, the short says AR10 and the medium says AR15.

yes, get the small for an AR15

I stand behind my initial enthusiasm thatches stock is very nice for a SPRish build.
