Which will be blamed on the US and justify latest gun control laws:

Six dead including suspect in shooting near Canada's Toronto

TTAWA (Reuters) -Six people including the suspect died and one was seriously injured in a shooting at a residential building in the city of Vaughan in Canada's Ontario province on Sunday night, local police said.

The suspect, a 73-year-old man, was shot at by police and pronounced dead at the scene, Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said in a statement Monday morning:

WE NEED TO BAN RUBERBAND GUNS!! STAPLE GUNS, GLUE GUNS, BAN THEM ALL!!!

I love how this is an "American problem", but it has happened in NZ, Australia, Canada, France etc. Maybe, just maybe someone in these countries will realize that the cops can not get there in time to help you and it is going to be on you to defend yourself and your loved ones, and that the best tool for that job might be a gun, because it really seems to level the playing field against an opponent who is bent on killing you

I'd read the shooting happened at an HOA or condo association meeting, interesting that the suspect was a 73 year old man.
What do you suppose such an association could have done to tip him over?

And do you think we'll ever get the whole back story?

It could have been something as simple as raising the membership fee, which he couldn't afford and was facing homelessness.

on edit: According to the NY Post the shooting happened at a condo board meeting:

They probably fined him for exhibiting the Canadian Flag from his balcony or window. Since it offends somebody in the neighborhood!

Hoa meetings are stressful events. I don't like them.

If the Post has the story correct the shooter had been harrasing the board for a while.
It also sounds like he needed help.

"Villi (the shooter) also claimed in his lawsuit an electrical room below his unit had not been constructed properly and “electromagnetic waves” were being emitted from it which had affected him, causing him pain since 2010."

I don't see how it is possible. Canada has "common sense" gun laws, they have nationalized health care to treat mental illness, they believe in "intervention over incarceration". Those are the magic combination to eliminate crime. There must be some mistake.

That's because you're never sure if you have enough ammo on you to shoot everyone who deserves it. :(
