Good review of these events with CGI. Compared to the European and South Pacific theaters, my knowledge of Africa is general at best. Inferior gear, poor tactics, and no combat experience, we 'Muricans got our butts handed to us by Rommel's afrika korps. Bit depressing to watch. Patton came in later which improved things, and Rommel not there to command when Patton showed up, so not a legit show down between them as often claimed:
