Since you live in Oregon do you have a Bi-Mart near you? Been buying the Federal XM193 at mine for just over $7 a box and it's nice to not pay shipping. Works out to under $200 for 500 rounds.

I picked up 25 boxes Friday at ours in Thurston (Springfield). I know the other Springfield store was sold out but they told me they receive a weekly supply. Don't know where your at but ask them to order it, our store has been really decent about that.

If your anywhere near Salem, Outdoor Marksman has a very small retail store (I mean small) near the Airport. I got an e-mail from them a few days ago saying their 223 was restocked however their website says zero available which tells me they probably only update it weekly. They had PMC for the same price as the XM193 a few weeks ago and it's not bad ammo. I'm sick of paying for UPS shipping and try to buy all mine locally but it seems like everyone has the same idea. Sportsman Warehouse in Salem has some good deals from time to time but I haven't been there for months. Not sure about the Portland area.

Anyone have any thoughts or feedback on the Corbon 55gr. FMJ that ammunitiontogo is selling? 840 rds. for 344.00 or something like that. I have always been a fan of their pistol ammo for CCW.

Ammunition to Go has the bulk 55grn made in Canada to mil spec and the price works out to $204 with shipping to Oregon, almost the same as the Federal. They also have the Privi for $5 more packed in 20 round boxes. Both are brass cased and I doubt will last long. They have been selling out of all their .223 quickly.

For plain old 55 grain FMJ, it's too much for my tastes. It'd be close if it were full blown M193 spec'd ammo.

$0.42 per pull of the trigger before shipping is really tough to take.

For those Oregonians or others in the western states who have a Bi-Mart, they have the XM193 black box on sale for $6.99 but the bastards are limiting it to 4 boxes per person!! We have three within 10 minutes so my wife and I made the rounds today and we scored 500 rounds!! I even talked with the store manager and she told me that ammo is getting hard to come by so upper management has put out the four box limit on sale items!! We just bought four each, put them in the car and went back, the sales people were cool about it!

We hit the same two stores today and scored 20 more boxes. They had about three boxes left with nothing else in the warehouse or due to come in. We tried to get rain checks but it's limited to stock on hand. If your in the Portland Metro area, you could do the same but if in Bend, Medford, Roseburg, etc, unless you make a pretty good drive your limited to the local store. Then again, when they do get more it's only going to go up a buck to $7.99 which is still decent. Wish they would offer case pricing.
