My only KAC was a SR-15 upper, but I foolishly let it go because I wanted to stay away from proprietary parts. Perfectly logical, but looking back I wish I had simply appreciated it for what it was.

I bought the complete LMT upper on the EE, ordered a Defender lower, and swapped the pistol grip and trigger.

You are crazy, those pics are great! I only get upset when people are drunk taking their hobbit feet pics with the firearm out of focus. Even worse is the EE when people want to sell you something but don’t want you to see what it looks like!!

LOL, oh goodness think I remember a flip flop picture in my past. I must be getting better trying to emulate you mi amigo. And hell yes its irritating EE with no pics. It seems goofy but I often feel I lose pics in Imgur. When I went to post pics on my LMTs/KAC guns so many were not there, maybe I didn't take them???

Stick, I just read your post about my taupe gun. My buddy I bought it from, harassed KAC for a bottle of spare taupe paint he gave me. Just enough to touch up but it gave me a chuckle.

how do you like the slx

It's great. SLX is cheaper than an ACOG but it's not junk. Probably not as durable as an ACOG but does some things better. I like simple sights and I don't need to shoot 1000 yards. I would rather have a fixed low power prism scope with a good ballistic stadia reticle than something with throw levers, parallax adjuster, bubble level, and RDS hanging off the side or mounted on top. I used an ACOG in the army and was pretty fast with it in short range reflexive fire marksmanship. I was thinking of making my next build an SPR rifle, but now I'm considering putting a 5x SLX on the rifle instead of a variable power scope. Idk if that would be considered SPR, general purpose, or what. It's just my preference.
