Just an FYI that Reuters, NRA-ILA & others are reporting this will start to happen come April...I don't have one & doesn't affect me anyway being a dealer, but wanted to pass it along.

I'm assuming this will be challenged & curious if other card providers will follow suit.

ESG preservation with a side of gun control. Welcome to the new Uhmerikkah.

And yes, others will likely follow. As for challenging, the only way I'd see that happening is if they were restricting purchases of abortion pills or something similar. For gun shit, it'll get the insta-dismiss.

Maybe L'Orange can save us by inventing some kind of half-ass "freedom" card that'll funnel money to his campaign all while leaking peoples PII like a sieve...

Unless they are caught denying or delaying transactions there really isn’t anything folks can do. Your shopping habits have been categorized and monetized for decades.

People should be going to the local
LGS to buy milk or candy or batteries or whatever stuff they sell. Make those codes burn.

In the article linked above ---> "other payment network companies had already decided to implement the new code in April, and that Discover was following their lead.

Visa, Mastercard and American Express announced last year that there were going to start categorizing gun and ammo sales.

Most of the articles are making this way bigger than it needs to be.

They are NOT categorizing guns and ammo sales. They have no idea what you purchased other than it is now at a Firearm store. Before, it was a sporting goods.

If you bought gun lube, holster., ammo, or a firearm it doesn't matter it all shows up the same.

That can't track crap, other then your visit to gun store.
