From HK's German website, P30 section:

"Low-wear: HK precision barrel made of cold hammer-forged and hard chrome-plated special steel with polygonal profile."

Wasn't aware that the P30 had a chrome-lined barrel. Or maybe the wording is referring to something else?

I'm not seeing a question.

Does the P30 indeed have a chromed bore?

I'm beginning to think that whoever wrote that description got rifle barrels mixed up with handgun barrels. Marketing types aren't all technically knowlegeable.

Truth. MAYBE they all of the sudden chrome lined them, but I doubt it. And the HK USA site doesn't say it...

This from the same company that loads ammunition in magazines backwards...

My P30 barrel is just as black on the inside as the outside. No chrome here.

That was hilarious, but in all fairness, it was the photographer doing the shoot.

My P30s barrel is not chrome lined.

None of my Hk handguns have CL barrels. We always hear about the Polygonal rifling, but not CL.

AFAIK, the only H&K pistols that have had chrome-lined barrels were the MK23 Mod 0/MARK 23, though there are certain batches that did not.

Frankly I don't even expect big companies to even know their specs that well on their firearms. SIG doesn't know the weights of their guns and they don't realize that if they didn't drive their MPX stock screws in with HD impact wrenches and permanent loctite, they COULD be reversed and work on either side. Some of their techs know this, but most don't. Just one example of likely many.
