What do you make of this case fired from my new Barrel. Case was LC from Federal XM193. I think the chamber is not right.

I'd fly that pic by the barrel maker/gun mfg. That looks rough in the shoulder of the case.

I sent them a E-Mail I guess I'll hang in for a response.

I'd try other ammo in the barrel, if it's the barrel you'll know right away. Lately almost all ammo lately isn't 'up to par' as far a quality as it was 5yrs ago.

The barrel has only 15 rounds through it. I'm trying to break it in properly as it is my first stainless barrel. I'll try some of my reloads tommorrow. I think the shoulder of the chamber has a tool mark.
Just by chance did you check the chamber for dirt, debris etc? I've seen carbon fouling and even excess lubricants cause hydralic dents in fired casings before. Just an observation.....Otherwise I concur with the others that your best course of action will be to have the chamber checked.

after looking at the chamber compared to my S&W there seems to be alot of tool marks wheras the S&W is smooth. Is it typical of a stainless chamber to have these marks vs a chrome lined chamber.

The company sent me a new barrel. Here is the comparison of the brass.

I'm still wondering about the uniformity of the shoulder area.
