Witch EoTech?

My girlfriend gave me a 516.A65/1 for Christmas. Should I keep it or upgrade to a 557.AR223? The first one does not have NVG capability (do I need it?), and runs on CR123 bats. The second runs on AA bats, has bullet drop out to 600 yards, and is NVG compatible. It will also cost me about $100 more. So do I keep the first one, and put the $100 toward a new lower; or make the upgrade? I might get into 3-gun this summer. Should this effect my decision?

What are the odds that you will have to use your rifle while wearing NV?

What are the odds that you will be doping shots at 600 yds/mtrs?

What are the odds that you can use a cool $100.00 for something better?

From the sounds of things you don't yet have a rifle to put the sight on... so to me this is an easy answer: Have a gun.

Oh, don't worry about the witch vs. which thing, that will die down after some one jumps on the effect vs. affect thing ;)

I wouldn't call her a witch, she did buy you an optic for Christmas. Go easy on her. :cool:

And keep the one you've got and spend the other $100 on a new or ammo. If you're asking online whether you need NV capability or 600 meter BDC, you probably don't.

Figures you guys would give me sh!t for typing witch, instead of which!!! It was very, very AM, after working all night!!! Very funny though. I already have a DPMS AP-4, and it looks like I'll be keeping the cheaper EOTech. Thanks for the advice. Now....where's that broom!!!:D
