I have a Colt Tactical Carbine 16" barrel
I just bought an ACOG 1.5 x TA47- 2 with the amber triangle
It's mounted in/on the carry handle
I plan to sight it in tomorrow..
As I recall the AR15 calls for 25 -250 yrds with open sights
How do I use the sight picture on this ACOG ?
Do I "cover" the target with the triangle or place the triangle just below the intended target.I'm not looking for Match quality I'm trying to get a basis for all around shooting with a variety of 5.56 "NATO" ammo....

Thanks

How do I use the sight picture on this ACOG ?

I have the TA47R-2, red triangle 2X.

I zero POA/ POI at the tip of the triangle @ 50 yrds. I tear one ragged hole @ 50 yrds.

For CQB, place the entire triangle on the intended target and you are GTG.

Here you go brother, just print her out and take it to the range. Sorry about the writing across the black portion of the target, i used some company's software to convert it into a JPEG file so i could host it and they threw their name on the target.

03 Humpalot,

Thanks for this post. I did a search and found this one. I printed a couple targets and shot it from the 50 yards out. It worked out great. I had a zero after 6 rounds. We came to a conclusion that we could use this targets to zero our acogs at the range faster than conventional targets.
