View Full Version : Trigger Group
I have an AR-10 ... and I'm unhappy with the trigger.
Coming from precision bolt action rifles, I expect/want a single stage trigger that has zero creep, breaks at 2.5-3 lbs, with minimal over travel.
Does anyone have a recommendation? Right now, the JP and Timney look like the top runners and I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer.
Thanks.

I put a JP trigger in my LR-308T and am very happy with it, it was a huge improvement over the stock trigger, I went with the 4 pound spring. With the JP trigger smallest 5 shot group size to date is .255 at 100 yards with normal being about .6"
Geissele.
Unless I'm mistaken, they are all 2 stage triggers.
I'm only interested in single stage triggers.

I think most would agree that the JP is the best single stage around. I just put in a Geissele though and it is awesome. I was very resistant to two stage triggers until I tried one and they are really good for accurracy.

His prices are certainly reasonable.
Thanks for Bill's info. I'm heading down there this coming week for some trigger work. :)
OK. I'm going to try and save some $$ and have bill rework a spare group I have. We'll see what his 3 lb job feels like.
6 Calendar days later ...
What a difference it made. Right now, I see no need for anything else. He did a fantastic job and the trigger has no creep.
I opted for the 3lb job.
Bill does great work on non-AR triggers too. He did a great job on my HK91 trigger pack, quick turn around and an excellent price.
