Bogus raid on a newspaper with possibility it was retaliatory and at least a couple of the players with sketchy back stories.

Yep, and the 98 year old matriarch died the next day, after saying they acted like fascist Nazis while raiding her home. This is not gonna end well for the town. :(

This has been an interesting story to try and unravel. The police definitely over reacted and undoubtedly violated rights, but it looks like the paper was intentionally digging up dirt on people in retaliation for being asked to leave an event. And based on some remarks from the person who wanted them gone, they have a history of doing so. Sadly, being a media organization, they'll be depicted as heroes while everyone else will be evil Nazis.

News outlets really should be digging up dirt, although I disagree with digging up on on one group while covering up on another.

Looking at the judge, chief and their enablers histories, it really doesn't sound like there was digging when people could have been digging.

Seems to be another example of special priveleges, exemptions, and immunities needing to be eliminated.
