I think some folks have probably already built this configuration:

Just think, all they had to do was taper the barrel and this would be cool.

Wasn't an M16A5 proposal what Vltor hatched the A5 buffer system for?

Yes. That’s the basis for the rifle. Someone shared MM’s Instagram video, and I think he mentioned that.

I did catch a glitch in most M16A5 articles... they draw comparisons to the Canadian C7A2 and cite it as using an M4 Waffle, while both C7 and C8 actually use an old-school CAR with buttpad.

It’s kind of neat but I think I would rather do a faxon 20in, bcm or geissele 15in mlok, and a lower with an a5.

I guess I did similar, but used a fluted samr barrel from rainier and a 15” geiselle mk8.

Currently on sale at $999. Seems like a great deal for a solid AR.

Seems to be a decent rifle. The nitrided barrel is probably a deal breaker for some folks, though.

I would buy if I didn't already have a 20" BCM with a knights rail, but I do. I am glad that we have such options on the market to choose from and do think that this thing is cool, especially from my Danish coworker, who loves the fact that we can basically own something extremely similar to our service rifle

But, but, but it's got a mil-spec quad rail. WTH does that even mean?

I’ve had a Colt A4 upper with P&S M5 RAS & TA31RCO ACOG on a BCM Mk2 lower for a bit now and frankly it’s one of my favorite rifles. The adjustable stock really solves the ACOG eye relief problem, especially with the BCM and its 8 positions.

it's an Expo Arms branded quad rail....which by everything everyone has reported who owns one, is simply a rebranded P&S quad rail with all of the cage code markings of the ones used in for .gov contracts. (the brownells is identical.. same cage coding, just sold under Brownells name)

Well that's good to know, now if it just had a chrome lined barrel it would be gtg.........

This looks like a "How do we bundle a bunch of parts together that won't sell into a AR that cloners will eat up build." Genius

I was involved in the testing of the A5 in the Corps. It gave us nothing significantly better. A waste. Cool idea that didn’t do much.
