Hello all,
going on an 5.56 18" rifle gas, dont want any long or heavy suppressor adapter brakes. Market really moved that way in development.

whats out there these days? i have a BCE 2.0 and a Griffin hammer comp i can throw on, bcm mod 1's meh ok i guess have that.

dont want anything to blasty i suppose, anything new thats not a keymo or some system?

just a good a2 sized comp. thank you for any guidance. been a while

You've been here awhile, so you've probably heard this more than once, but I'll say it again anyway. The A2 comp offers a lot of bang for the buck. You can spend a lot more without getting a lot more, though of course the ends do justify the means at a certain point.

Yes sir you are very very correct X1000 and lord knows if i take anyone's advice to grave it would be yours stick and i know you have my best and wallets best interest in mind with that advice

I certainly wish i could but im am at the moment in a ban state. I could grab V seven Ti a2 (advertised as not a flash hider) it would be a bit of a sparkler in low light being TI but probably no more or less than the others

but would maybe be less blasty and enjoyable to shoot? or am i chasing intangible's in things i wont probably even notice?

If you wanted to put the equivalent of bling on your rifle:

Its works but its just not cost effective.

I bet you Stick owns one on some rifle in the back of his safe .

I'm sorry you live on cursed earth. The below would fill the bill for a comp that isn't crazy expensive, but I have not used it personally.

Don't tempt me on a completely nostalgia based buy now that KAC are making these again. The re-released 3D printed ones arent as cool as the wire EDM cut ones but you arent paying over $1500 on gunbroker for one either. :D

I wish they would bring back that hand stop.

Trey commented to me once upon a time when we were talking that KAC can't really make things to compete with some of the other shops. While that handstop might be easy or cheap through someone else, those other companies are smaller and can sub out work. Those companies aren't paying the power bill for a massive facility, or salaries for a bunch of workers, or benefits, or taxes on a large property piece, or a list of other things. That seems to be the reason (or at least what I took away) why KAC doesn't appear to cater to the public with some items.

I had heard they were making them again, but didn't know they actually had them in production. Whats the street price on one of the new ones?

The Triple Tap certainly imparts a unique impulse when shooting.

Yeah I get it, and it's my fault for not grabbing one when i last had the chance. I've got a long list of shouldas.

I am not being a smart-ass or being critical, but on an 18" rifle-length gas system is there really a need for a comp?

There is if you live in a state with an AWB.

Fcd 1215rf or dead air micro brake.

Makes a world of difference when spotting yourself at distance from non-prone.

Battlecomp. No doubt. It's the KAC at a fraction of the price. Very A2 sized and appearance at a glance. The Battlecomp was one of the few "comps" that didn't annoy the crap out of me with concussion.

That KAK thing appears to have a blued finish. That always drove me nuts on an AR muzzle device. Too shiney. (I'm weird like that) The BC 1.0 is $155 at BravoCompany's site. A little bit of money, but you're not rolling the dice on an unknown, and you're not making C 3 reed Knights auto collection payment!

1215RF is Plan B/Rearden Atlas compatible, 1215KM (Keymo) and 1215XE (Xeno) are for Dead Air cans :)

1215KM and 1215XE are based on the Mk12 brake, but prioritizes reduction of blast and noise at the expense of brake performance which for the 223 AR, isn't that demanding. When compared to the Mk12 brake and AAC Brakeout, it's less concussive and noisy.

I have one on my precision rig (1215KM) and its perfect. The rf is lighter for the OPs use if not supressing.

I have 2 of these and they are fantastic for the rifles I have them on.

TY sir, I have to admit over the last decade you are responsible for me having many FSB uppers, simple seat belt slings, non "fat" quad rails, MED contour barrels, standard phosphate BCG's when I first got into AR style rifles. OH and i never dared even went on LWRC'S website. lol you have made an impact, just thought you should know

FCD's version of an A2 is nicely done.

If your simply interested in flash suppression on a precision barrel, the Smith Enterprise Vortex is still hard to beat.

I’ll send you a Ruger radial comp for free if you pay shipping. I don’t need it.

I bought a used one several years ago and still paid a pretty penny for it. It still resides on my old KAC SR 15. 71086 It's the bright version though.

I like the Precision Arms EFAB and AFAB. A little pricey (not KAC pricey), reduce perceived recoil, not too blasty or flashy. I found the Battlecomp a little too efficient in that it forces the muzzle down on firing.

On a 10.5" AR fired rapidly, I did feel that. It's been a while since we've run one, but it seemed to be less noticeable on a longer barrel.

I like the BCM Comp Mod 0 same size as an a2 and I think it’s not too aggressive.

I’m typically not into comps because of their increased blast and flash but I do like my EFAB, it has a reasonable balance.

Yeah. Those are nice too. I forgot about them because I have the larger version.
