So does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this can? What are your thoughts when it comes to cans? I know some are partial to OPS cans and some to others just looking for some guidance.

If you want a thread on can, the Gemtech M4-02 is the way to go.

or the OPS INC 3rd model in 5.56.

I echo Bigbore's comments on the M4-02 for your SBR project. Excellent suppressor from a great company at even better price.

Well I am not looking for just a thread on can. Just looking for a good can that will work well and wont cost me an arm and a leg. Like the Surefire cans!!!

How about the YHM Phantom? Allot of suppressor for the money.

For a can bought on a form 4, the YHM is the BEST value for the money.

And my Main Carbine, it has the YHM pinned on a CMMG 14.5" barrel.

Despite Bigbore not wanting anyone to purchase AAC silencers, the Ranger is available and is superior to the GT M4-02 that he is pushing. It is the same weight, uses heat treated Inconel, and is 100% welded. The Ranger silencer is extremely durable. It is an excellent silencer, even though OPS does not make it.

Come on now people let's play nice here. We all have our opinions but let's be polite about it. I was just looking for some advice on cans and saw that the Ranger was an inexpensive one and looked nice for the money. Kevin how is the Blackout line coming I briefly looked at them on the site last night.

We will also have the Ranger 2 at the Shot Show.

About 5 or 6 Blackout silencers will displayed at the Shot Show and shipping to dealers in Jan. and Feb. Several of the Blackout silencers are already being shipped to the military, so production has begun.

Looking forward to seeing them Kevin. Will you be there too? I'll have 2 SHOT ID's, 1 from VA Arms Co and one from M4Carbine.net I plan on taking some pics if that's cool with you.

I wasn't aware you could heat treat inconel... The stuff sure is a bitch to machine...
