View Full Version : Unicorn upper assembly?!

So I come across this upper assembly. For a small fee I purchase it.
Diemaco flat top upper, Colt socom barrel, Colt bolt carrier assy. Charging handle. Barrel is 02/19 date. Upper receiver Diemaco/A forge mark with triangle by barrel nut. Colt cage code socom barrel. Unknown round count… no erosion in throat/lead or around gas port. Upper receiver has obvious wear.
I’m thinking rebarreled upper assembly from Colt Canada.
Came with a matech site and some janky grips.

Any ideas as to what I’ve got here?

Tumbr accounts are free as well. It is what I use, because it is free, and there doesn't appear to be much which isn't allowed. I think we are getting to the point where hosting sites will be locking out gun pics, while of course they will continue to allow porn....

Hunt101.com had a lot of my pics. Then poof… gone.
If I click the link I posted it takes me to the four pictures I posted.
I tried to imbed them here… that didn’t fly.

And I agree, posting pics on this forum is hellishly difficult

Its not hard to post pics once you have an external hosting site.


I have to admit that you picked up a very nice URG. I have no need for another one, but still wish yours was sitting in my weapon cages!

Thank you. It was a surprise to find it for sure. I crawled through the barrel and can find little indication that it’s been shot much. More external wear than internal so that’s a plus. The bolt carrier assy and upper show a little wear but still a lot of life left in both. End result it will be my beater/take along rig. Throw one of my AP Pro’s on top and a six pack of 30’s in a sling pack and call it a day. I’ll post some pics when it’s put together… lego’s for adults. Lol
