It is a very interesting read. I like how the Pakastani Police basically told the first guy that they really couldn't help him, here is a gun permit, feel free to carry an ak-47 whereever you go.

Does anyone know what a 30-bore pistol would be. In the article they refer to licenses issued for 30-bore pistols.

Just a guess but 9MM=.355.

30 bore = .30 cal range of pistol calibers perhaps? .32, .380, 9x18, 9x19, .38spl seems logical. They're probably the most prevalent and popular calibers in the region. Some countries don't allow the carry of military caliber weapons (anything above 9mm) by its citizens.
