Most of us recall the gun buying frenzy during the pandemic. Before that (IIRC) there was something of a glut in the AR market. Is today's market stable or could it be said to be oversaturated? Inflation probably figures in the equation also.

Right now is a good time to buy.

The Obama election was a terrible time, prices went through the roof and people quickly ran out of inventory.

Sandy Hook AW Ban Attempt 1 & 2 were both bad times to buy, high prices and you still couldn't find a lot of stuff.

Trump was probably the best time to buy. Within a year shit calmed down, inventory caught up and prices were pretty standard.

Ironically, even with this cluster F of a president, prices and inventory are stable and reasonable. If a person doesn't own an AR yet, this would probably be the best time to grab one. No matter who wins what, I don't see anything getting cheaper or coming back down to earth.

I would think the market is oversaturated but honestly i dont know everyones inventory levels. Now ammo, buy, buy, buy!

I don't closely follow these things but it seems like it wasn't that long ago that folks were complaining about lack of inventory at BCM... now they have dozens of different uppers showing in stock as well as continuing their "limited time offer" (been several months) of a free BCG with each upper.

Probably an oversaturated market and inflation impacting budgets.

I would bet **if** Trump were to loose the election in November and the house and senate stays the same or gets worse, all semiautomatic assault **type** rifles, hi-cap pistols of all calibers, all hi-cap mags, some AR and AK parts like bolts and BCG's, reloading supplies, etc., along with all military ammo calibers to probably skyrocket starting the day or weeks after. Buy your stuff **now** if you don't already have the gun stuff you need or want, because I don't want to hear no whining crybabies later. Remember without enough ammo your guns are no more than boat anchors in your closet or gun safe. Remember to MAGA in November as it may be the last chance to get our great Country turned around.

AR and all firearm prices are stable across the board, maybe *slightly* high, but not bad. Magazine prices stable, occasional deals available.
The aftermarket is dead as f***, so now is NOT the time to sell, but maybe time to buy secondhand, if you can work out a slightly better deal for people trying to dump their stuff fast in a down market.

Now ammo on the other hand... ROFL

You will pay XXX for an AR now. If you tried to sell it now you would get XXX--. Yes, there's a glut.

Of course the commie fvcks that apparently run this country have seen fit to unilaterally make their own "law" to keep us from ever remotely profiting from the sale of a gun, scarcity or inflation be damned. You can't even decipher if selling even ONE gun is going to be kosher anymore (intentionally left vague I might add.....assholes ).

I'm finding a ton of aftermarket deals and secondhand components that are not even touched.

3 weeks ago I went to my local Gunshop. Pretty solid stock or most every manufacturer or AR. They even had about a dozen factory SBRs on the wall.

Last week, they were cleaned out. All the SBRs and all the well known named AR manufacturers. It almost looked like they just didn’t put any rifles out.

I’m not sure what it means other than an election is right around the corner.

The local market here (DFW) is absurd - everyone thinks the stuff they drastically overpaid for during the covid rush has only climbed in value.

There are occasionally the intelligent sellers who actually have a realistic price (this goes beyond ARs, obviously) and they get quick sales. But there's a ton of churn of the same old items being listed over and over for the same prices with zero movement.

I think I'm going to sell the lowers at a loss, and mark the HELL up out of the rest of the rifle.

LOL that's a good idea!

However, I think it is written in that new edict somewhere that you don't necessarily have to make a profit for it to be a verboten sale. I read that and was like WTF???

But just about everything AR is available in LGS or mail order
